- When initially brainstorming, bear in mind that simple is best.
- While brainstorming, try to figure out how you might design the circuitry and code - the coolest idea is not generally the easiest or best.
- When brainstorming, think through all of the systems, considering complexity and reliability
- Scavenge for parts as soon as possible - you’ll save yourself a lot of money
- Make your hardware accessible because it sucks when you have to tear apart your whole robot to get at something that broke.
- Three people working on the same piece of code is not efficient; two people works much better.
- Be prepared to break some stuff - just fix it and move on.
- If something is acting funny, check the batteries. If those are OK, check the power regulators next.
- Incorporate those things into the project that you want to learn more about.
- Get some sleep.
- Label anything that could come out
